Infuse 005: Rebecca Quinones
How long have you been working in the industry?
5 years
What territory do you currently cover?
Florida
What inspires you professionally?
Music, nature, science…. As a child my first form of artistic expression was music and have always had an interest in science, I am a complex thinker so I like to synthesis complex ideas into artistic expression.
What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Problem solving! I also find it rewarding to see the fruits of my labor installed and creating stronger relationships with Interior designers and architects in my field.
What are your most favorite things on your desk?
The desk itself, I have a small office space so I had to be creative and modified an Ikea shelf system from the Ivaar collection into a fold away desk. It was a fun weekend project!
When you are short on inspiration how do you reenergize; where do you go for inspiration?
Getting into nature, since I live in Miami, going to the beach is the perfect medicine. Also, I practice Budokon, a mixed movement martial arts system, this is outlet for creative expression through movement. Their yoga style is just gorgeous, think Tai chi meets yoga!
What made you decide to showcase the trend/designs that you selected?
My interest in understanding the nature of life and the universe. Max Plank, Nobel Laureate of 1918 states, “There is no matter as such! All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. . . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter”― The New Science. It is a representation of the vibratory and cosmic forces in the Universe abroad and within us.
