Meet the Artists
By partnering with leaders in human-centered design, we are developing products that improve the world and enhance quality of life for everyone. Our collaboration with ArtLifting accentuates our commitment to better.
Together, we are empowering artists with disabilities or housing insecurities to create carpet and flooring collections manufactured and sold by Mohawk Group. Each artist is valued for their participation, respected for their diversity and compensated for their work.
Abstract Artistry was developed from the work of artists Eve Hennessa and Marc, both of whom are part of the ArtLifting community. ArtLifting is a platform that highlights artists who are often excluded from the contemporary art market due to housing insecurity or disabilities. From Eve’s works, we find abstractions of geometry, broken down and meditated upon in complex linework and color. With Marc’s paintings, thickly stippled pigment creates layers of texture that give way to fluidity. Our in-house design team integrated these divergent aesthetics with their own interpretations, delivering styles of refined abstraction.
Walking into an artist’s studio, the evidence of creation goes beyond the canvas. It affects the space itself, drips and sprays of paint lingering behind. It is often beautiful if perhaps unintentional. This is the concept behind Pattern of Time, a new addition to the Large & Local LVT collection from Mohawk Group. Combining the comfort and tradition of a wood grain floor with unique and inventive emergence of color throughout, this flooring solution brings a sense of individuality to any commercial space.
We make it simple to create the perfect handcrafted area rug for your space. Our design team guides you at every step, taking you from design inspiration to a fully realized solution that exceeds your goals, effortlessly.
With Painted Perspectives, self-expression becomes an inspiring basis for community. Through its artistic confluence of diverse views, the collection helps designers advance the inclusive work of hospitality spaces.
Social Canvas conveys the expression and poignancy of Charlie French’s abstract painterly style. Encompassing multiple carpet styles, each viewed as a different canvas, the collection spans chunky and smooth textures, incorporating colorful brushwork and a refined palette.
