Better for People

We design floors for the people who make them, install them and work with them every day. Declare labels disclose every ingredient, and our products are designed to avoid Red List chemicals. At our Light Lab in Dalton, Georgia, we study how floors affect wellbeing, wayfinding and focus. Specify for a Cure has helped give more than $8 million to Susan G. Komen since 2001, and ArtLifting empowers artists with disabilities to inspire distinctive flooring collections.

Better for Planet

We reduce our impact first, then disclose and offset what's left. Since 2022, all our carpet tile, broadloom, woven, LVT and resilient products have been carbon neutral, with an extra 5% in offsets. We were one of the first flooring makers to join The Climate Pledge, committing to net-zero carbon by 2040. Through Water.org, we aim to help 75,000 people gain safe water and deliver 275 million gallons of water benefits by 2030. We've certified products to the Living Product Challenge, and recovery through our ReCover take-back program grew 133% in 2025.

Better for Performance

The most sustainable floor is the one you don't have to replace. Duracolor® Tricor® fiber has built-in stain protection and soil hiding, proven over 30 years of installations, so spaces need fewer harsh cleaners and fewer early replacements. ColorPulse™, a patented process, gives solution-dyed nylon a space-dyed look without using any water to dye. Definity with Colorstrand® has five times lower global warming potential and creates four times less waste than wool. Together, these technologies help floors last longer while using fewer resources.
